Tesla Motors and their green, clean performance machine, the Tesla Roadster, pioneered the zero emission's movement as the first vehicle of its kind to grace a gaming system; furthermore, a top tier game such as Project Gotham Racing 4. This is Part One of Project Tesla Roadster. There may be other electric cars, but there is only one Tesla Roadster. Many people have said that they would never purchase an alternative fuel or zero emissions vehicle because they are usually odd and look strange. Some say they want a vehicle with two or more doors that they can take their date to the movies in without being gawked at. Well, I can assure you that the Tesla Roadster will get you gawked at but not for the reason you think. Driving a Tesla Roadster to the movies is like driving a Porsche, Lotus, or Lamborghini - You "will" be the envy of everyone around you.
Center Console of the Tesla Roadster on version 1.0 2008 Microsoft's partnership with Tesla Motors started late 2006, when developers borrowed the car for an intense photographic session. The car was shot from virtually every angle and Microsoft developers borrowed the schematics, so that the car could be modeled correctly, right down to its custom headlights. Microsoft was equally diligent about accurately capturing the unique sound of the Tesla Roadsters' all-electric drivetrain. About a dozen microphones were mounted on the car as it ran on a special dynamometer. Developers then mapped the recordings to the car's actual power curve so that the motor and gear box sounds would be reflected correctly at different speeds.
What could be so "hot" that the Governator would channel Paris Hilton? The Tesla Roadster, built by San Carlos, California-based Tesla Motors; powered by lithium-ion batteries, is capable of going from 0-60 mph in about four seconds, and has a top speed of more than 130 mph (for safety top speed is limited, but you know what you can do ^_^). Deliveries have already been made to many customers such as Michael "Flea" Balzary from Red Hot Chili Peppers. This generation's game consoles cost very little to power, before you add the flat screen HD TV with HDMI, the crazy sound system and the occasional HD projector. However, although gaming is more energy efficient than watching Maury and Divorce Court, why would an expensive battery powered car be a good idea?
There are some people who have done a lot to shape our world and we know as little about them as we do the name of the guy who made McDonalds that easy to buy a Big Mac from (No his name is not McDonald – it’s Ray Crock). Nikola Tesla is one of these people. However, if you have seen The Prestige, which starred both Batman and Wolverine as competing magicians, then you have already been introduced to some degree. I'm not going to bore you with a lengthy biography (that is what Wikipedia is for) but I will mention that you should take a look at his, so that you can understand why Criss Angel shudders at the thought of a rematch with the Tesla Coil.
Charging Plug With a range of more than 200 miles on one charge, the Tesla Roadster is set for most day-trips and daily work commutes. An optional mobile changing kit that is compatible with 110- and 220-volt outlets is also available for charging on the road. Charging Stations at select Hyatt Hotels are an added convenience: The Tesla Roadster can be plugged in at night so it will recharge while its owner enjoys a relaxing dinner and a good night's sleep. Tesla Roadster customers have been vocal about their desire for fast-charging devices like the Home Charging Station (which comes with each Tesla Roadster and is installed in the owner's garage) in public locations. The Hyatt agreement is the first step of many efforts to fulfill their request. ![]() Stay tuned for Part 2 In Part 2 of Project Tesla Roadster, we will be speaking with Joe Powers, a green professional and the go-to guy at Tesla Motors in an exclusive interview you won’t see anywhere else.
